Lanes and Alleyways ProjectA new project about the lost names of lanes and alleyways around Monaghan Town. These lanes often had large numbers of homes and businesses but these homes, many of which were of poor quality, were replaced by nrew housing in the first half of the 20th Century.
Thanks to a presentation by the Old Monaghan Society, we are planning to erect name signs on the entrances to these alleyways this year. Watch this space !
